Avian Plumage Coloration
I am studying the effects of diet on
structural plumage in Eastern Bluebirds,
specifically plumage production in chicks. I am providing
supplemental food to my experimental chick nests and, using
a full spectrum UV-Vis spectrometer, I am comparing plumage
"brightness" of experimental and control chicks.
